    About
    Biography

Jane Shellenbarger uses thrown and altered porcelain and black clays to create a range of stylized functional vessels, primarily pouring vessels and covered forms.

Typically fired in atmospheric kilns the pieces may undergo multiple post firings to achieve a depth of surface. When she includes imagery, it often relates to the interaction of man and nature and the effect one has on the other.
