David Bogus makes functional, sculptural and installation work using primarily brightly colored white, low-fired clay. In the tradition of pop art everyday objects are produced in inexpensive talc clay is used to make a major body of work (2015s) of slip casts of everyday objects such as shoes, purse, electric guitar/base, badminton paddle, etc. Decorated with applied decals and lusters, this work is displayed in the Bogus Boutique Most of Bogus? work is cast; some are wheel-thrown. A series of large-scale work incorporates mixed media, primarily wood.
