Bailey studied with Karl Martz at Indiana University. Animals have fascinated him throughout his life. His charming sculptures of cats, raccoons, rabbits and other animals offer layers of information requiring a careful look. Bailey began his career as a painter of animals and continued to divide his time between painting and ceramics.
