Charles Wissinger is best known for slab-build and mold-cast earthenware sculptures. Decorative techniques include sprayed or brushed on slip in multiple layers, using paper templates and tape friskets for masking surface designs[1]. The piece is then often salt fired. Wissinger also uses other materials to construct his work such as metal, wood and stone.
Wissinger was married to ceramic sculptor Sara Fulden Wissinger.
