Of his work, Sprague says,?Throughout my career as a potter, I have tried to produce a useful and pleasing product. It has been my desire to explore and refine the subtleties of form, both functionally and aesthetically, while working to gain a greater understanding of the complexities of the ceramic process. My primaryinterests are form and surface development. I have tried to incorporate glazes and glazing techniques that enhance these concerns.?1
