Linda Hufnagel | Also Known As: Linda Jaron

Linda Ann Hufnagel is known for wheel-thrown and altered, shallow and deep carved stoneware and porcelain functional and non-functional organic forms. Surfaces may include motifs, images, and patterns drawn from the natural world. The work is fired to cone 6 and 10-12 in kilns using various atmospheres including salt and soda, wood-firing, pit-firing, and raku firing methods.

Hufnagel?s early work used clay found on her family?s Vermont farm. She credits Elsbeth Woody her teacher at Columbia Teachers College, NYC as a major influence.

Hufnagel worked at Pewabic Pottery and studied with Bill Powell and John Glick.
