Davis Orser works in both porcelain and stoneware creating a wide range of functional pieces that are either wood or gas fired. The surface techniques used often include local clay, wood ash, salt and traditional glazes.
Oser uses gas fired, reduction, and salt kilns. He regularly participates with a group of potters in the firing of a Japanese styled, anagama wood-fired kiln.
Osser founded Cedar Mountain Pottery in 1999 where he works with his wife, Laurel MacDuffie.
