    About
    Biography

Marina Kuchinski uses a variety of material but predominately ceramics and earthenware to hand build and slip cast sculptures that often take the form of animals, frequently in series of one form.

She uses the animals to comment on the issues important to her be they political, social or spiritual. It is not uncommon for her sculptures to exclude found or narrative details. The surfaces are left unglazed and reduced to their essential form. Kuchiniski had several important Residencies including Kohler Art & Industry Residentcy and The McKnight Artist Residency for Ceramic Artists Grant.
