    About
    Biography

Marc Hansen is known for bottles or vase forms. Decorative techniques focus on crystalline glazes developed by Hansen. His signature crystalline glazes were the result of experimentation and were often achieved by applying the glaze up to an inch thick. Firing temperature was initially rapidly increased then dropped to a holding temperature which was held steady for several hours to allow crystals to grow.

Hansen represented the United States at the International Ceramic Symposium at the Arrowmont School of Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in the summer of 1975.
