Robert Clyatt | Also Known As: Bob Clyatt

Bob Clyatt makes figurative sculptures using stoneware or porcelain, fired using various methods including raku firing. Clyatt's work challenges the traditional understanding of figurative sculpture by exploring contrasting themes; ancient and contemporary, organic and technological. He often incorporates20^th century technology including custom polymers and 3D printing.

Clyatt spent eight years studying sculpture, primarily with Barney Hodes at the Art Students League of New York. His work reflects his knowledge of both Eastern and Western ceramic traditions.
