Robert Reedy is best known for his sculpture-like teapots and other functional pottery referening abstracted works. For instance, teapots may have a wire handle and exaggerated long and arching spout with small water chambers. Surface techniques include bright colors and patterns. Reedy is also known as a painter, printmaker, and mixed media artist.
As a professor at the University of Central Florida, Reedy launched a class called ?Advanced Design Lab,? bringing together art and engineering students to collaborate on commissioned projects. This class was the first of its kind at a university in the United States.
