Rosalyn Tyge is best known for mixed media jewelry and tiles as well as functional pottery. Tyge combines glass, clay and metal to create jewelry and wood boxes and other wooden objects, decorated with ceramic tiles.
Tyge first studied ceramics at Pewabic Pottery with instructor James Powel. Later Tyge attended Oakland Community College and workedwithDr. Charles Blosser. During her time working with Dr. Blosser, Tyge began exploring cone-6 oxidation glazes.
