Jenny Floch is an Ohio potter known for her functional stoneware pottery: mugs, dishes, casseroles, wine goblets, etc. and artistic and experimental pottery. Floch also worked in mid-range porcelain. Her work was sold through Rene Crigler, Columbus, Ohio
One of Floch?s well-known projects was providing dinner ware for a local restaurant in Columbus in 2012. Jessica Knapp highlighted Floch?s work in a piece for Ceramics Monthly (December 2016) as an outstanding example of how pottery made for a restaurant can change the overall experience, remarking that the ?sturdy stoneware with earthly glazes perfectly compliment the farm-to-table food[1].?
Floch worked with Louis Mendez from 1958 to 1962, and with John Kinneman from 1991 onward. An oral history of Floch can be found here: https://columbusjewishhistory.org/oral_histories/jenny-floch/
