    Susan Icove is known for high fire stoneware functional pottery. Forms include baskets, bowls, and teapots. Icove was one of the founding members of 16 Hands, a potters collective based in West Virginia.

    In 1998, Icove changed careers to focus on designing and fabricating lamps made of recycled materials and found objects.
