Vessel

USA, 1900
<p>A vertical rectangular vessel on thin square legs placed at each corner. There is a handle of upright square pieces topped by  a piece of clay that arches in the middle. A triangle is attached on each side at the vessel at the base of the handle. The entire surface of the piece is covered with incised zigzag lines that run side by side from the rim to the base.It is dark grey with some flashes of light grey.</p><p>A top view shows a rectangular opening to a black interior. The triangles protude from opposite sides. The handle extends beyond the uprights and arches in the middle.</p><p>The underside showing the four square legs and a mottled surface. The accession number 98.1.27 is on a white label.</p>
