Angel Cup

USA, 1900

There are two images of this unglazed white porcelain drinking vessel. The three dimensional figure of an angel the height of the piece is on one side. The angel is faceless, has large breasts, and arms folded over its stomach. The angel's wings extend well beyond the vessel wall and show deep impressions where fingers were pulled along the clay. The foot view bears the accession number 2003.35.5.
