Alice Abrams

Alice Abrams works in low-fire clay, then saggar-fires the piece (saggar: container within the kiln that holds the piece). Building methods include using press molds, and hand-building.

Alice Abrams taught creative dramatics to elementary school children before working full time in clay.

In 1996, Abrams and a fellow potter conceived The State of Clay biannual exhibition in Massachusetts, which had its 9th biennial in 2016. Read more at: http://colonialtimesmagazine.com/entering-the-state-of-clay/
