Chromaphilia Veils

USA, 1900

A long vertical multicolored rectangular tile. The top edge is brown that gives way to a wash of light yellow that goes to off white. These colors blend into each other. At the bottom a very crisp edged upright white goblet bowl shape floats on a varigated brown ground. An upside down goblet bowl shape is above this. It has very crisp sides with thick blue and white glaze that runs from its top onto the lower goblet shape.To the r ight of this is an installation view of 7 related pieces.
