Lucy Fagella

Lucy Fagella is known for functional wheel thrown stoneware and porcelain pottery fired in mid-range oxidation. The surface techniques include stamped, wax resist, carving and glazing. Fagella specializes in porcelain cremation urns that are thrown and may be carved and glazed. In addition she has developed a biodegradable paper clay urn made of recycled porcelain and recycled papers, surface texture can be made using pine needles, plant materials including flowers and/or applied collaged paper patterns with soy based paint motifs.
