Covered Jar

USA, 1973

This pillow like covered jar has a tall lid. The lid begins round at the neck of the jar the tapers and becomes angular, shaped like an arrow. The entire surface is very glossy with multiple colors of luster glaze. The colors are random.

An image of the jar with the lid laying next to it. There is a flange to hold it in place on the jar. The shoulder of the jar is slightly higher on the left. The opening and the flange are irregular circles. The writing on the two stickers is too small to read.

The black underside shows that the jar is an oval that is larger at one end. A little sticker with 493 is upside down in the picture.
