Mark Chuck is known for hand-built porcelain cone 10 reduction fired pottery and vessel forms. Chuck's surfaces are heavily worked in the leather hard stage by carving and building the surface by adding clay. Primary subject matter for his modeling and carving includes the skin and fins of freshwater trout. Surface techniques also include underglaze, mason stain lithography, and celadon glaze.
