Fred Robert Allen | 1940 – Present

Bob Allen is known for stoneware functional wares with glazes he has developed throughout his career as well as caricatures of classic cars.

Allen started his clay career with a ceramics course at Southern Illinois State University with Jack Cannon. Attracted to the physical aspects of throwing clay, Allen continued his career as a potter. He has taught several private students and in 1970 was hired to develop the clay program at Meramec Community College.
