Gordon Orear

Gordon Orear is known for his systematic research and use of the single fire process that he used to produce a body of functional stoneware pieces. He is also known for his lifelong exploration of the cylinder as an element in sculpture that he began in 1950, typically these fireclay pieces were unglazed.
