Derbra Cherniawsky Durrer

Debra Cherniawsky Durrer is known for handbuilt stoneware, one-of-a-kind vessels, as well as for designing production pottery. Among her decorative techniques is slip trailing using a liquid clay.

Cherniawsky was strongly influenced by a 2004 trip to China where she saw the Cizhou ceramic style characterized by black and white markings.[1]

Cherniawsky Durrer, with her husband, Dennis Durrer, established Artables and Table Arts, pottery which was designed in Canada and made and painted in China.
