Paul's Fire Wall relief

USA, 2003
<p>A wall relief in the form of a pillow. There are numerous irregularities in the form. Some areas have been pressed in, others have been pinched outward. The color varies from off white to black.  An actual image of flames is mounted behind a piece of glass near the lower edge.</p><p>A detail showing the rounded edge that leads to the underside. The flame image is clear as are the wire brackets holding it in place.</p><p>A closer detail showing how the clay had been manipulted and the flames image.</p><p>The underside is totally black. There is a distinct square that was pressed in to create a flat area where the flames image is mounted on the other side. A metal rod to be used for hanging the piece. is insertied near the top.</p>
