Kathryn Holt is known for colorful ceramic work, clay tiles, murals, and site-specific work. In 1988, Holt expanded her artistic practice into other media, such as painting on canvas and paper.
Holt spent most of her career in Littleton, Colorado where she was both a teacher and a studio artist, and moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 2012. Kathryn Holt also worked as a contributing writer to Studio Potter magazine and conducted an oral history interview with ceramic artist Nan McKinnell for the Smithsonian Archives of American Art in 2005.
