Kaname Takada

Kaname Takada is best known for wheel thrown earthenware platters, double-walled assembled bowls, and box forms. Takada often decorates his pieces with intricate symmetrical patterns, using terra sigillata as well as colored slips, and glazes. The work is then fired in an electric kiln.

Takada shares a studio with his wife, Sumiko Takada, who is known for inlaid earthenware vessel forms.
