Chrissie Callejas

Chrissie Callejas was known for functional stoneware pottery for twenty years. Later in her career, Callejas began working on larger-than-life hand built abstracted sculptural forms of vegetables or fruits, formed using clay and paper clay. The surface techniques are carving, embossing, and application of eight or more layers of slips and glazes.

Callejas also paints in oil.
